Today I went to a friend of friend's house where I watched the dog sled teams come through the Chena River. They began their one thousand mile race back in Fairbanks as part of the Yukon Quest (This is more of a race to prove oneself rather than a famous one). I drank a lot of hot chocolate and ate many cookies. I also ate taco soup and played Fluxx.
Mostly USA and Canada, but one racer was from New Zealand and one from Sweden.
I saw moose for the first time. A mother and a calf.
And a bunch of pictures of the racers. I wish I had brought a note book with me to mark what pictures belonged to what racer. The pictures were taken from varying distances from a hill away to meters away.
This was the house I was at. The people standing there all cheered for every racer. I just took photos.
Hi Josh! How cool to see the dogsleds and moose! I'm also excited to see you played Fluxx. G and I enjoy that game too! :) Anyway, just wanted to tell you that we are praying for you in your new semester. Thanks for posting how you are doing so that we can know how to pray.
