MLKJ Day or Alaskan Civil Rights Day

Today is the last day of my three day break after just starting college again.  I wish it was sometime in February so that I could have breaks further spread apart, but I'll take what I can.

This semester I hope to take five classes, but one of them is tentative.  I am for sure taking Modern World History, Gwich'in, Language Contact, and Modern English Grammar.  I would like to take Library Science as well as it would get me to fifteen credits and it is a requisite to graduation. Unfortunately, two or three people need to drop the class for there to be enough room for me to join. Is it wrong to hope others give up?

My mom has a student teacher who knows a professor at BSU who is a linguist who does linguistic projects involving refugees.  I am hoping and praying that I can get in on this and have this be a summer project/job.  It would serve as a productive and enjoyable use of my summer and hopefully also an affirmation that linguistics is truly my calling.

While I am thankful that I had Walmart as my job for the last summer, I really am doing all I can to find any other work.  How little I wish to go back there cannot be stressed enough.

So if any prayers in addition to school related supplications could also be directed towards my work during the summer, I would be grateful.

Mahsi' choo.
